If you have been following my last few posts, you already know about the baby shower I organized for my daughter, last spring. Like any other special event, baby showers also end with a thank you and a keepsake, also referred to as “favor”. I have prepared my favors from a pink votive candle in a glass jar, wrapped in pink tulle, tied with a dainty pink ribbon, plus a special Thank You note from the baby, text of which I am including in this post.
I thank you for coming
I wish I were there,
But I’m still quite busy
With growing my hair.My cheeks are now rosy,
I’m anxious to see,
‘cause I want Mommy and Daddy
To be so proud of me.I’ll use all the gifts,
And all the clothes nicely pressed
Since when I meet Mommy
I won’t yet be dressed.My little message,
Comes straight from the heart,
Thank you for giving me
Such a beautiful start!Be sure to come see me.
I know that you will.
When Mommy and Daddy take me home,
It will be such a thrillLove,
“Baby Girl” (insert baby’s last name)

1AWW that poem from the baby is so sweet…did you write that? That is such a wonderful idea. I think I shall now write a poem to send my wedding guests home with.
Happy Weekend!

2Diana, I know how busy you must be with your wedding planning, so I truly appreciate your valuable time spent on reading my posts, and always leaving such sweet comments.
I wish I had such talent creating beautiful poems like this one, but no, I did not write it. I saved a copy from someone’s baby shower, and printed it out on a baby footprints stationery, since that was my shower theme.
Hmmmmm……poem for wedding guests…..that sounds so special…..I bet you would come up with a beautiful one too.

4It is such a sweet poem. I was lucky to find it in time for the shower.
I’m sure you will get a chance to throw a shower for someone, or help plan one. It’s so much fun!

5What an adorable poem. I would have loved to have sent that out when I had my baby girl a while back. That would have been a cute addition to the Thank You cards.

6Thank you so much.
Unfortunately I do not know the author of this poem, as I was a lucky recipient of it at one of the baby shower’s I attended.
