As always, I truly appreciate your time and comments. Yes, the snow....it makes everything look so nice and clean....but I only love it for a couple of days....then I am ready for it to melt away. Winters here in DE are not as long and severe, as they were in upstate NY.....yeah!!! I know the snow lingers much longer in your area...:(

I totally love your site, and read your every post, as I have it saved in my Google Reader.

You must be the best baker I know!!!!!
I love to bake, but lately I have slacked off quite a bit...

Love, love, love your gardens especially the beautiful walkway. It is so sad when the snow comes and they are all gone...

Thanks for the visits, your wisdom is treasured!

Hey "Bride to Be"!!!!
I have been checking your website "http://theworldaroundher.blogspot.com/">, and http://allwomenstalk.com/author/dianafeather/, and came to a conclusion that you're either very busy with your wedding plans, or on vacation (I know you are reading a lot as well). I appreciate your time and checking back with me again. School is starting again, so your daily routine might normalize a bit.

Hi Suburban!!

Ive been away from the blogging world for a little bit...lots of things going on during the summer! Your garden is beautiful. I love how they greet you on the pathway. You really do a wonderful job. I hope you had a lovely summer. Soon all the leaves will be changing, I love the colors during the fall. :) How are all the grandchildren doing?

Meream, I'm glad you had a chance to check it out. I bet you have some other plants and flowers which thrive better in your area than they would here. There are so many beautiful plants everywhere. On your next visit to Washington DC, you should stop by the US Botanic Garden (next to The Capitol).....I have never seen so many different plants in one place...what a beautiful site.

Lori,
As always, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts.
So, you do love gardening as well. Don't you agree that gardening is so relaxing, even after the hardest day of work, or to spent some free time on Saturday? My only day of rest is Sunday.....I try not to do much of anything on Sunday, besides preparing meals, and sometimes I don't even do that. We decide to go out or have a take out.

Mmmm...mmmm...nothing like a quick dish with your own fresh herbs and veggies!!

Lori, I prefer to freeze my fresh herbs to use later on during winter time. Parsley, Dill, Chives, Basil, Rosemary....are great frozen, and so easy to use (just break off a small chunk and you are ready to go). They really retain the fresh aroma even more that dried. I just rinse them under cold running water, pat them dry, chop them up and store them in zip-loc freezer bags.

Thank you for sharing! Nature sure tells us when it's time. I noticed last week that the male hummingbirds have left and the females are doing their best to fatten up before taking off. I'm pretty sure that today's cleaning and filling of the feeder will be the last this year.

I'm happy to say that the Clematis that I planted (and almost killed) is full of beautiful deep purple blooms right now. I have also realized that I really enjoy the robust flavor of parsley. I always remember Mom using the dried parsley but I have a small grouping of herbs and the parsley has done wonderful. Yesterday I threw some tomatoes, chic peas, parsley and olive oil together.........yumm.

Thanks again.........your flowers are beautiful!
