Jungle Theme Birthday Party

Jungle theme for a birthday party is perfect for the little ones, since so many children books about different animals are so colorfully illustrated.

Today I will post lots of pictures for your enjoyment and party ideas you may use for your party planning.

Spring Flowers From Cracow

My sister and I share the love of gardening, so we often exchange pictures of our success, or cry over our failures.

I have to deal with Japanese Beetles, and her worse garden enemy is a pesky Vole.

Anyway, today we will be enjoying the beauty of her spring flowers.

It looks like Spring in Cracow is kinder to her flowers, than ours is to mine…:-)

St. Patrick’s Day – Party Foods

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all who are celebrating this very traditional holiday here in the US.
If you are still searching for party food ideas, I will contribute with links to my previous posts of “green” food recipes for this occasion.

Homemade Pasta – Recipe

Making your own pasta is quite simple, and probably much easier than you ever imagined.

It’s even easier with a pasta maker, especially if you want to make spaghetti.  However, today I am making it the old fashion way; the way my mom used to make it.

Fresh pasta tastes so much better than the store bought selections, plus how inexpensive it is to make.

Actually, there is a lot of truth to that, since fish is a low-fat, high protein food.

However, we have to be well-informed shoppers, in order to actually select the fish which is healthy for our consumption.

While shopping for fish, or enjoying it in a restaurant, we should not only pay attention to the type of fish we are selecting, and the price range, but also its origin:

Wild caught, or Farm-Raised/Farm-Bred
Imported, or from USA
