If you have been following my blog, you already know that I am very impressed with The Fat Smash Diet, and love following all the phases at least once every year, with very rewarding results.
Some people think it is too harsh (no coffee or alcohol for 9 days…wow…), but it is perfect for my taste and my lifestyle.
I loved my mom’s cooking. She had limited resources, but always managed to prepare delicious meals for our family and friends.
I inherited her love of cooking and baking, and am a very lucky recipient of her hand-written recipes. She loved collecting and trying different recipes, as much as I do.
The family tradition continues, as my daughter and granddaughter also enjoy culinary arts.
My mom made the best homemade doughnuts, using her European recipe. Hers are so much better than the quick recipe I used before.
Every Christmas Eve my mom joined us for dinner, and always brought in a huge platter of freshly made doughnuts. We all are still reminiscing about those sweet memories….
Today I will share that recipe with you all, in memory of my mom’s baking and cooking.
Cold weather always seems to kick up our craving for a bowl of hot soup.
Since I already posted several soup recipes in the past, today I will provide pictures of these soups, and links to the respective recipes.
So, get your ingredients together, and stir up a pot of delicious soup for yourself to enjoy on a cold day.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all our family and friends who are celebrating Christmas Eve on January 6th, per Julian calendar.
