Chocolate Cake with Fleur De Sel Caramel Filling – Recipe

Another cake challenge proposed to me by my daughter a while back, as a choice for her Birthday cake.  I love trying out new recipes, so I was ready to tackle this one as well.  You can never go wrong with chocolate.
This chocolate cake consists of 4 layers of cake, with chocolate ganache, creamy salted caramel, and toasted almonds. If this doesn’t make your mouth water, I don’t know what will!

Pan Apple Fritters (Ratsushki)- Recipe

I created this recipe based on my childhood memory of Apple Pancakes prepared by my Godmother which she called “Ratsushki”.

Hungarian Apple Cake – Recipe

I was looking for a recipe for an apple cake that would resemble a favorite of mine baked by someone at my church, and this one comes extremely close to the taste I recall. The cake batter is not sweet and rather flaky once baked, almost like a pie crust, but the sweetness of the apple filling pulls it all together very nicely.

European Apple Cake- Sharlotka

This European Apple Cake recipe has been shared with me by a friend of mine, and referred to as “Sharlotka”.  The cake is made out of a very rich batter (lots of egg yolks and butter), which makes it so scrumptious.
