Apricot Cake is a must on my dessert table, especially when my sons are visiting for the holidays. Even though they like most of my baked goods, this one is their favorite, because it is not readily found in bakeries or restaurants. A friend of mine, who is not a big fan of apricots, gave this cake her vote.
One of my favorite recipes from my mom, is a recipe for crepes. She usually filled them with creamed, and sweetened, farmer’s cheese. I like my crepes filled with fresh fruits, or fruit preserves ( I use Smucker’s Sugar Free Fruit Preserves), served with fruit syrup (also by Smucker’s), and whipped cream. This dish may be served as a light main course, or as a dessert. Makes about 8 crepes.
Chocolate lovers beware…..this chocolate cake will call to you for a second serving!!!
I made this cake for someone’s birthday, who loves chocolate and lots of frosting. I used the Dark Chocolate HERSHEY’S Cocoa for the cake, and made a double batch of the Dark Chocolate frosting. It was very rich, very dark, and no leftovers.
I really enjoy trying new recipes, especially if I am expecting a large family gathering. Feedback from multiple samplers helps me decide on winning recipes. This Christmas Bark recipe, really sparked my interest, because it is very easy to make, and turns a simple saltine cracker into a scrumptious delicacy. I am sure your family and friends will love it as well.
If you love chocolate, and want to impress your guests with very yummy looking, yet easy to make truffles, this is a recipe for you!
It requires very few ingredients and not much fuss to prepare.
