Cream Wafers – Cookie Recipe

My next few posts will include the cookie recipes I introduced in my Christmas cookie post.

I am starting with my favorite cookies, the Cream Wafers.  If you read the ingredients, you might not be able to envision how decadent these really are. They are very light and flaky, resemble a puff pastry, and practically melt in your mouth.

Pineapple Sheetcake – Recipe (revised)

If you love pineapple, and looking for a simple and delicious cake, this recipe is a winner.

Today I revised this recipe by adding 1/3 cup of Canola oil, which created a lighter texture of this cake.

Cranberry Orange Scones – Recipe

Even if you are not a huge fan of scones, you will LOVE this recipe.

I made a batch of healthful scones a while back using a skinny recipe.  They were tasteful, but not as moist and flaky as these Cranberry Orange Scones.

Jewish Apple Cake – Recipe

Rosh Hashanah means “Head of the Year” in Hebrew, hence a New Year celebration.

I extend my warm wishes of happiness, health, and prosperity to all my friends who celebrate this holiday.

Jello Gem Cream Roll – Donna’s Recipe

My sister-in-law shared this Jello Gem Cream Roll recipe, but I slightly changed the filling instructions.  She used one flavor of jello which was not fully set yet, to sweeten and add color to her whipped cream filling.  I chose to use 3 different jello flavors, let each fully set, then cut them into small “gems” and gently fold them into the whipped cream to create the mosaic effect.
