Veggie Burger – Recipe

I never thought I would like the taste of a veggie burger, so at first I purchased some frozen ones, Veggie Medley by Gardenburger, and realized that they were not as bad as I thought. Since I am not really a hamburger lover, veggie burger earned my approval.

I like making my own food at home, since it allows me to control what goes into it, and enables me to modify the recipe to my taste.

I looked up some recipes for veggie burgers, and came up with this modified version to fit The Fat Smash Diet.

Vegetable Platter – Money Saver

Every time I see a ready assembled vegetable platter at a grocery store, just to pick up and go to a party, I cringe at its cost. I think it mostly reflects the price of labor, rather than the value of the veggies.

It doesn’t take a culinary genius to cut up raw vegetables, and to arrange them on a platter.

Homemade Waffles with Cherries – Recipe

Freshly made waffles are absolutely delicious, yet so easy to make.

My memories take me back to childhood, enjoying ice cream served in a freshly made waffle cone, while walking on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ…I am still savoring that taste, and the moment.

St. Patrick’s Day – Party Foods

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all who are celebrating this very traditional holiday here in the US.
If you are still searching for party food ideas, I will contribute with links to my previous posts of “green” food recipes for this occasion.

Homemade Pasta – Recipe

Making your own pasta is quite simple, and probably much easier than you ever imagined.

It’s even easier with a pasta maker, especially if you want to make spaghetti.  However, today I am making it the old fashion way; the way my mom used to make it.

Fresh pasta tastes so much better than the store bought selections, plus how inexpensive it is to make.
