Chicken Stew with Dumplings – Recipe
This is a delicious stove top chicken dish, for those of you who prefer dark meat over white, and if your kitchen is not equipped with an oven. I used my Dutch oven, but any cast iron pot is suitable.

These jumbo cookies are full of chocolate goodness, with crispy bottom, yet a soft and chewy middle.
Total perfection wrapped up superbly in one and all.
These Mini Apple Pies look so adorable, elegant, and delicious.
I highly recommend them, as an easy and interesting dessert after a fulfilling meal.
These open-face sandwiches, which we call “Kanapky”, better known to my children as “church sandwiches” (since they always enjoyed them at a church bake sale), are very presentable on a party table, and extremely tasty.
You can use the full slice of bread, for a filling kanapka, but for parties I prefer to cut each slice of bread in half, or even into thirds as for tea party kind of appetizers. Then you use the other ingredients in proportion to your bread size.
They are so delicious…almost addictive… and you will not just have one…I assure you of that.
In the past post I mentioned a very nutritious Quinoa salad flavored with this Magic Green Sauce.
I am providing a link to its origin, but will also post the ingredients and directions in this post, in case the link stops working at some point, and because I made some minor adjustments to suit my taste.
