Tomato Soup – Recipe

What do you do with all those ripe tomatoes you have just picked off from your garden, or bought at a farmer’s market? You can share them with your neighbors, if they don’t grow their own, and if you are certain that they like tomatoes and are not allergic to them. If you decide to keep them, but you really do not want to spend lots of time in the kitchen, by making home made tomato sauce, you can turn them into a very fast and easy, yet very tasty tomato soup.

Pecan Chocolate Cake – Atkins Diet

Dieting is not an easy task to keep up with, but worse yet, what do you do about celebrating a Birthday, and you need a special cake for the occasion. How about a cake for someone on Atkins Diet (high fat and extremely low carbs), which means no sugar and no flour……a couple of main ingredients you always use in making cakes!

Google.com to the rescue!! I found a real nice recipe for a Sugar Free Pecan Chocolate Cake, but I was quite skeptical about the outcome of this project….cake without flour or real sugar…only sugar substitutes….??? Would it taste like chocolate flavored cardboard??? Would it be very dense? Would it be very flat???

Carrot Cake – Recipe

Everyone has their favorite cake for special occasions. One of my sons favorite cakes is a carrot cake, so I always make it for his birthday. This recipe offers cream cheese frosting, which I normally use, but also a cream cheese glaze, for those who are not so fond of frosting.

7 Layer Guacamole Dip – Recipe

My sister-in-law shared this recipe with me, and I prepared it for my daughter’s Memorial Day party.
It is somewhat similar to a Taco Dip, but much creamier, and with a little more kick to it. There was lots of positive feedback from everyone who tried it. I made this dip with only 6 layers since I omitted the black olives (I am not a big fan of olives).
