Christening Party Decorations

I love crafts and appreciate other people’s craft talents.
Recently I was attending a Christening party for a little girl, and just adored all the decorations created by her Mom.
She used flowers from her mother’s garden, mason jars for vases, burlap for table runners and vase decoration.
She purchased crape paper flowers and burlap banners with stamped letters, to add some finishing touches and to pull it all together nicely.

Blueberry Crumb Cake – European Recipe

Blueberries are such a super fruit to bake with, not to mention the antioxidant and other healthful properties they posses.

I have posted several blueberry cake recipes in the past, but there were so many people asking for this one, and since I aim to please, here it comes.

Apple Tart – Recipe

This Apple Tart was prepared by my daughter-in-law, and since she shared her recipe, I will post it here for everyone else to try and enjoy.
This Apple Tart looks and tastes amazing.

Country Babka – Homemade Sweet Bread

I always wanted to try a Babka recipe, to taste the difference between Paska (Ukrainian Easter Bread) and the very popular Babka.  This year I finally baked Babka and everyone loved its taste and texture. The recipe is basically the same as for Paska, but it requires 2x the amount of yeast and butter, 1/2 the amount of flour,  but same amount of sugar, which you may decrease to your taste.

Baby Sprinkle Party – Fun Craft Activity

Spring is a very popular season for baby showers, but his time I attended a Baby Sprinkle Party.
Baby showers are usually hosted for the First Born child, since the new parents are starting from scratch, and get overwhelmed by how many different things this little person will need almost immediately after its arrival.
In the past Baby Shower was the only time the new parents were showered with substantial baby gifts.  However nowadays the second born, especially if it’s of a different gender, also is lucky to receive some smaller gifts through a Baby Sprinkle party.
