Carrot Cake – Recipe

Everyone has their favorite cake for special occasions. One of my sons favorite cakes is a carrot cake, so I always make it for his birthday. This recipe offers cream cheese frosting, which I normally use, but also a cream cheese glaze, for those who are not so fond of frosting.

Frappuccino – Smoothie Recipe

If you really have to have the “Java Jolt” in the morning, rather than a more mild smoothie start, here is a quick and simple smoothie recipe to get your going.

Ice Cream Cake – Recipe

Ice cream cake is my husband’s favorite cake, especially for his birthday. Every year we would buy a Carvel’s Ice Cream cake, but this year I decided to make one (for a fraction of the cost of Carvel’s cakes). Making this cake was quite simple, since all the ingredients are ready made, and no baking is required. All I had to do is to assemble, freeze, and serve. The most laborious part of this project, was the unwrapping of the ice cream sandwiches.

Angel Wings (Khrusty)- Recipe

Angel Wings, known as, Khrusty, or Chrusciki, are a very popular and dainty dessert specialty found in Polish bakeries, European specialty stores, or even some grocery stores. They are very light and airy, and quite simple to make. My granddaughter already loves these, so I have to make sure these are on hand when she is visiting.

Dark Chocolate Cake

Chocolate lovers beware…..this chocolate cake will call to you for a second serving!!!
I made this cake for someone’s birthday, who loves chocolate and lots of frosting. I used the Dark Chocolate HERSHEY’S Cocoa for the cake, and made a double batch of the Dark Chocolate frosting. It was very rich, very dark, and no leftovers.
