Ukrainian Kanapky – Open Face Sandwiches

These open-face sandwiches, which we call “Kanapky”, better known to my children as “church sandwiches” (since they always enjoyed them at a church bake sale), are very presentable on a party table, and extremely tasty.

You can use the full slice of bread, for a filling kanapka, but for parties I prefer to cut each slice of bread in half, or even into thirds as for tea party kind of appetizers.  Then you use the other ingredients in proportion to your bread size.

They are so delicious…almost addictive… and you will not just have one…I assure you of that.

Chicken Francaise – Low Fat Recipe

Skinless chicken breast meat is so wonderful to cook with since there are myriad ways to prepare it while keeping it low-fat and healthful.

This recipe would easily fit into the Fat Smash Diet menu, as well as Weight Watchers, and I am sure for many others.

Elisabeth’s Pineapple Swirl Cake – Award-Winning Recipe

The Pineapple Swirl Cake recipe has been on my list of favorite cakes to try for quite sometime, and now I am very honored to finally share it with you.

It was an award-winning “Recipe of the Week”, submitted several years ago by aunt Elisabeth, to Suburban News in Westfield, New Jersey.

Danusia’s Butter Cookies – European Recipe

My sister shared her favorite cookie recipe with me, and once I tried it with my granddaughter, it was so easy and fun to make I decided to share it with everyone.

What is so interesting about this recipe, is that you use hard-boiled egg yolks rather than raw eggs.
