Leftover Turkey – Creating New Meals

Your Thanksgiving dinner was a winner. Everyone enjoyed the company and the delicious food.

However, now you have loads of leftovers to use up within the next 3-4 days.

Sausage and Herb Stuffing – Recipe

Stuffing is a must Thanksgiving Dinner menu choice, along side the roasted turkey.
Today I will share a stuffing recipe with herbs and Sweet Italian Sausage.

Delicious Homemade Rolls – Based on a Japanese Recipe

I have been searching the net for a recipe to resemble specific rolls dating back to the early ’70s, and my memory of summer camp in Ellenville, NY.   Mrs. Kormeluk was the cook at that time, so rolls similar to these were made daily, and served with a cup of cold milk, as an afternoon snack for all the campers.

I have tried several recipes, and tested the texture and taste of these rolls with my children, who also were lucky enough to enjoy the same snack at the same camp, in the ’90s, but by that time, these were baked by Mrs. Tinio.

Vera’s Blueberry Muffins – Recipe

Vera is a friend of mine who is an excellent cook and a wonderful baker.  I love all her recipes, and she shares them with anyone who is interested in trying them out.

Today I will share her recipe for Blueberry Muffins which are simple to make, require a few basic ingredients, and absolutely melt in your mouth.  She suggests mixing anything you wish into the batter (fruits, berries, nuts, chocolate chips….), and tweaking the recipe to your preference.

Raspberry Torte – Recipe

The Raspberry Torte has been my daughter’s favorite Ukrainian torte for many years now, so I try to make it for her special occasions.

This torte requires some delicate handling of the baked cake layers, since each layer is baked separately, and somewhat challenging to remove from the cake pan, similar to the Irene Torte.
