Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip – Low Calorie Recipe

Dips are still part of the “centerpiece” foods at parties. Everyone loves having a scoop of their favorite dip, surrounded by veggies or chips. It makes it easy to move around and socialize, while enjoying your food at the same time.

I already shared the ever so famous recipe for the original Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip, but recently I had an opportunity to taste a much lighter version of this dip, and I could not believe how great it taste

Steamed Fruit Dumplings – Recipe and Technique

This recipe is a very old favorite of mine. It reminds me of my grandmother’s cooking days and my Sunday visits to her with my mom.
I love these fluffy dumplings because they are so light in texture, and so delicious served with melted butter and sugar.
This recipe goes back to my great-grandmother who was of German descent, and most likely back to her mother and grandmother, which datewise would go back to the 1700s.

Ukrainian Christmas Eve Tradition

Ukrainian Christmas Eve is not only very rich in traditional foods prepared freshly that day (today in our busy lifestyle most of us prepare many food items ahead of time), and shared by the family during the Christmas Eve 12-course meatless dinner, but also myriad traditions are practiced before and after the meal.

Apricot Sheet Cake – Recipe

Apricot Cake is a must on our dessert platter, especially when our sons are visiting us for the holidays.

They enjoy most of my baked goods, but this one is their favorite, maybe because they can’t find it anywhere else.

A friend of mine, who is not a big fan of apricots, gave this cake a five-star rating…:-).

Marinated Mushrooms – Recipe

Ukrainians looooove mushrooms. They incorporate mushrooms into numerous everyday recipes, but especially for their Christmas Eve 12-course meatless meal.

Traditional Ukrainian Christmas Eve menu will include mushrooms in Mushroom soup, varenyky filling (pierogi), Holubtsi filling (Cabbage Rolls), Vooshka filling (dumplings that accompany Ukrainian Christmas Borscht), mushroom gravy (referred to as, Machka, in some households), mushrooms with cabbage, and of course marinated mushrooms.
