This European Apple Cake recipe has been shared with me by a friend of mine, and referred to as “Sharlotka”. The cake is made out of a very rich batter (lots of egg yolks and butter), which makes it so scrumptious.
HAPPY NEW YEAR……to all my friends who are celebrating Rosh Hashana!!!
May your New Year be filled with good health, love, and prosperity.
My thoughts and prayers are with all the people left behind, and the souls of the ones perished on that sad day of September 11th, 2001.
My heart is aching for my second cousin and his family, as they lost their oldest son that day, Scott Daniel Bart, who was working in the North Tower.
You don’t need to wait for a special holiday or a celebration, to have a barbecue. You do it just because you feel like taking advantage of the warm weather and cooking outdoors. Not to mention to give your husband a chance to show off his grilling skills, while you are relaxing with a nice cold drink while chatting with everyone (which most likely will happen after you set everything up for him beforehand…).
As you already read in my log, I am using a pressure cooker on regular basis, for cooking quick meals on a busy day. I will share a few of my favorite pressure cooker recipes. Here is one for Spareribs with Barbecue Sauce. My family likes this dish served with boiled, chunky potatoes, seasoned with sauteed onions, salt, and pepper to taste.
