Baby Shower – Diaper Cakes and Craft Ideas

Baby showers are a lot of fun to prepare and to attend.  These are such happy moments not only for the new parents, but also for all the guests.
This post should have taken place a little sooner…like 2 years ago……but I am sure you will enjoy it now as much as you would have then…..:-)
I will share many pictures of diaper cakes prepared for this occasion, as well as some really fun craft ideas to experiment with at such occasions.

New Year’s Eve Wedding

June is a month for weddings…..at least that is what everyone is saying.  Well, since I am running behind in my wedding posts, I am taking this opportunity to create a short post about a New Year’s Eve wedding I had a pleasure of attending.

I have attended a Christmas season wedding before, but this was my first time at a New Year’s Eve wedding.

It actually was a lot of fun, because until midnight we all were enjoying a typical wedding atmosphere, but as the clock struck midnight the party switched to a New Year celebration.

My May Garden

All the rain showers we have been having lately washed off many of the early spring flowers, but new ones came up in their place.

Also my veggie garden is fully planted by  now, so all this fine rain is great for my baby plants.

Today I will share some of the current flowers in my garden.

Gift Ideas for Special Occassions & Holidays

So, there are only few more shopping days remaining until Christmas, and Hanukkah already began, but you are still running around looking for some great gift ideas. Also, your budget is running dry, yet the list is not complete….well you can always complete it with some great homemade gifts, or gifts from the heart.

Here are some ideas:

Sauerkraut Filled Varenyky – Suburbangrandma Recipe

Sauerkraut is basically pickled cabbage.  You either like it or hate it…I happen to love using sauerkraut in cooking and baking.

Not all sauerkraut tastes the same, so if you are not a big fan of it, maybe you should try different dishes prepared with this vegetable.

For this recipe I used really tasty sauerkraut….Bavarian style sauerkraut, which I purchased at Shop Rite, my local grocery.

It is so tasty, I can eat it just the way it is…right out of the jar…..has a slightly sweet taste..I highly recommend it.
