My mom made the best homemade doughnuts, using her European recipe. Hers are so much better than the quick recipe I used before.
Every Christmas Eve my mom joined us for dinner, and always brought in a huge platter of freshly made doughnuts. We all are still reminiscing about those sweet memories….
Today I will share that recipe with you all, in memory of my mom’s baking and cooking.
This recipe was posted on the wrapping of a Calphalon baking sheet, which I purchased for a family member.
Since there is a lot of butter and sugar in this recipe, I cut the serving pieces into cute little cubes of 2 x 2 inch….so there is less guilt for having more than one piece at a time….:-)
Today’s recipe is for an Upside-Down Rhubarb Cake, which is absolutely delicious, and I am sure you will agree, once you enjoy a piece.
Today is a Blessed Day for our family, especially for me.
It is also a mixed emotions day, because today is my last chemo treatment for breast cancer.
As you already know from my previous post, this year I was in the mood for testing NEW cookie recipes, hence this is my post #2.
Here again, I followed the original recipes exactly, so I will post corresponding links, rather than listing the ingredients and directions.
