Best Chocolate Chip Cookies – Recipe
Almost everyone loves Chocolate Chip cookies since they are so delicious and so simple to make.
Today I am sharing my latest recipe I tried and loved.
This recipe yields 3 doz. cookies.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour (I use Gold Medal unbleached flour)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. hot water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips, semisweet
Instructions
- Using an electric mixer and a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Add in the vanilla extract.
- Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add to batter.
- Mix the flour and salt, and gradually mix into the batter.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop the batter by using a spoon or a meatball maker and place each scoop at least 2 inches apart on and ungreased baking sheet. I used 9 x 18 baking sheet which fits a dozen of cookies.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and bake for 8-10 min, until the edges are slightly browned.
- Do not over bake, so they don't get too dry.
- Remove from the oven and let them rest for 2 minutes before using a spatula and transferring them onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
- Store in an airtight container up to a week, but I am sure they will be all gone before then.
