Almost everyone loves Chocolate Chip cookies since they are so delicious and so simple to make.

Today I am sharing my latest recipe I tried and loved.

This recipe yields 3 doz. cookies.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies – Recipe


  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (I use Gold Medal unbleached flour)
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. hot water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips, semisweet


  1. Using an electric mixer and a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  3. Add in the vanilla extract.
  4. Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add to batter.
  5. Mix the flour and salt, and gradually mix into the batter.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop the batter by using a spoon or a meatball maker and place each scoop at least 2 inches apart on and ungreased baking sheet. I used 9 x 18 baking sheet which fits a dozen of cookies.
  8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and bake for 8-10 min, until the edges are slightly browned.
  9. Do not over bake, so they don't get too dry.
  10. Remove from the oven and let them rest for 2 minutes before using a spatula and transferring them onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
  11. Store in an airtight container up to a week, but I am sure they will be all gone before then.
