What’s New In My Garden In July?

June’s hot weather was not very kind to gardeners, or their gardens. No matter how much I was watering my garden, it was back to desert conditions, the next day.

The best time to water your garden is either early morning, if you have time, or after sun set. Also, it is good to remember not to water your tomato plants from the top, but rather down by their roots, to prevent the growth of fungus, and other diseases.

There are so many different ways to consume strawberries, such us serving it plain, sliced with whipped cream, baking a Strawberry Shortcake, making a berry smoothie, and also cooking a very refreshing summer dish – Strawberry Soup.

Another Birthday Party – Minnie Mouse Theme

How time flies! It seems like only a few weeks ago, since we celebrated the First Birthday Party, and here we are, a year later, and a Second Birthday Party took place.

This year, the theme was Minnie Mouse, my granddaughter’s favorite character, thus a perfect theme for her party.

Spring Cleaning – Useful Tool

I don’t abscess with cleaning, by no means, but I have a favorite slogan, which I love to share:
“This house is dirty enough to be happy, but clean enough to be healthy”.

My spring cleaning usually starts a few weeks before Easter, another habit passed on to me by my mom, and it includes washing all the curtains and all be bedding, rearranging of the furniture, vacuuming meticulously with attachments into all the corners missed during regular cleaning, vacuuming the upholstered furniture, cleaning out closets, and filling up bags with items to give away, or to ship to relatives abroad, and of course, washing windows.
