This Ukrainian Walnut Sheetcake makes a perfect after dinner dessert, since it is light, and not very sweet. This recipe was shared by a parishioner from Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, in Johnson City, NY. She often made this cake for a church bazaar,
As I mentioned to you in my previous post about the Fat Smash Diet, there are 4 different Phases you go through during this program, and each phase has a list of suggested and excluded foods.
Some of the excluded foods in one phase are being introduced back into your diet in the next phase, so for ideal success, you need to follow these food suggestions, eat 3-4 smaller meals per day, follow the same eating schedule, and continue to exercise.
Just think, this phase is only 9 days long….you can do it!!
If you like hot chicken wings, but your stomach does not tolerate the deep fried wings you find everywhere, this recipe is for you. I made these for my last gathering and they earned a high mark.
You are also in charge of their flavor; you can make them as mild as you like, or as hot as you like. I personally like mine on a milder side, and not too much sauce. Also, I make sure my wings are clear of any lingering feathers, or extra pieces of fatty skin.
I received this recipe from my sister in-law, and they are my grandson’s absolute favorite cookies.
I already posted this recipe under a different heading, but will rewrite it here for your convenience.
This recipe yields at least 48 cookies, depending on the size of your cookie cutter.
These Walnut Crescents are another favorite cookie recipe of mine. This dough is very similar to the Butter Balls recipe, but instead of almonds it uses ground walnuts.
It is a very simple recipe to make, but once baked, these cookies are very delicate and fragile For best results it is best to leave them on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes after baking to cool off, before gently removing them onto a cooling rack.
