Carrot Cake – Recipe

Everyone has their favorite cake for special occasions. One of my sons favorite cakes is a carrot cake, so I always make it for his birthday. This recipe offers cream cheese frosting, which I normally use, but also a cream cheese glaze, for those who are not so fond of frosting.

My Organic Garden – Herbs, Fruits, Vegetables

I already showed you some of my flower patches, and I mentioned my small organic garden, which I started two years ago. All my plants are cultivated in a mix of mushroom soil and organic gardening soil. I do not use any additional fertilizers, and definitely no pesticides.

I grow perennial herbs and fruits, and annual vegetables.

7 Layer Guacamole Dip – Recipe

My sister-in-law shared this recipe with me, and I prepared it for my daughter’s Memorial Day party.
It is somewhat similar to a Taco Dip, but much creamier, and with a little more kick to it. There was lots of positive feedback from everyone who tried it. I made this dip with only 6 layers since I omitted the black olives (I am not a big fan of olives).

The Fairy Tea Party – Colorful and Fun

I have a very special friend who loves tea so much that she organizes tea parties with her adult friends, attends tea parties, and now organized a tea party for her grandchildren and their friends. She was so nice to share this experience with me, so I just could not resist not to share it with all of you. She is very talented and creative, and does not only make these special costumes for tea parties, but she also makes beautiful costumes for plays in her area. Her guests immensely enjoy these events, costumes, and stories that go along with each theme.

This sounds like such a wonderful idea for a party. Here is her short story, including the menu, and lots of pictures:
