Walnut Crescents – Recipe

These Walnut Crescents are another favorite cookie recipe of  mine.  This dough is very similar to the Butter Balls recipe, but instead of almonds it uses ground walnuts.

It is a very simple recipe to make, but once baked, these cookies are very delicate and fragile  For best results it is best to leave them on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes after baking to cool off, before gently removing them onto a cooling rack.

Oreo Chocolate Truffles Recipe

If you love chocolate, and want to impress your guests with very yummy looking, yet easy to make truffles, this is a recipe for you!

It requires very few ingredients and not much fuss to prepare.

Miniature Nut Cups (Tea Tassies) – Recipe

My sisters-in-law are experts on making these Miniature Nut Cups, also known as Tea Tassies. These present themselves exceptionally well on a holiday cookie tray, and practically melt in your mouth.

Cream Wafers – Cookie Recipe

My next few posts will include the cookie recipes I have introduced to you in my cookie preview post.

I am starting with my most favorite cookies, the Cream Wafers. If you read the ingredients, you might not be able to envision how decadent these really are. They are very light and flaky, resemble a puff pastry, and practically melt in your mouth.

Chubaty Fruit Squares – Ukrainian Recipe

We have a lot of super talented bakers in our parish, and they all love to share their favorite recipes.
This is one of those yummy recipes I received, since I really loved this dessert.
I cut down on the original amount of sugar, since the ready made pie filling I used, is quite sweet.
If you wish to make your own filling, which most likely will be less sweet than this one, you may want to add an extra 1/2 cup of sugar to the dough.  I prefer it just the way I posted it.
