June Veggie and Flower Garden

It has been a while since I posted an update of my garden…my favorite place for relaxation.

So much already has happened in my garden by now.  All my annual and perennial plants are up, some already passed their bloom time, others are just getting ready.  My June Strawberries are all gone already, and my Blackberries are getting ready to ripen.

Here are some pictures of my plants at the end of June….:-)

My June Garden – Flowers and Veggies

Watching your flower plants produce gorgeous blooms, and your veggies mature for harvesting, is the most rewarding experience of the hobby of gardening.

June is here, so the spring flowers are done blooming, but the perennials are filling out the void by showing off their beauty, and will continue to do so until late fall.

Also, the vegetable garden is progressing nicely and we already are able to use the lettuce, dill, sorrel, parsley, green beans, scallions, rhubarb and strawberries.

Farewell To My Summer Garden

Summer has been technically over several weeks ago, but in my garden, summer is just coming to an end.

Fewer flowers are opening up, more and more plants are drying off, and my vegetable garden is not producing new crops…just letting the remaining ones to complete its cycle.

We had few very cold nights already, but today was a gorgeous day; so with the help of my camera, I captured the remaining beauties in my garden.

My Vegetable Garden 2015

My overwhelming May schedule prevented me from finding time to keep up with my blog, but I should be back on track now…:-)

Today I will share some pictures of my vegetable garden.

Fresh Dill Sauce – Eastern European Recipe

Europeans love serving various home-made sauces with their meats and potatoes.

Even though pasta and rice often accompanies meat dishes, potatoes are most popular.
One of those sauces widely used in Eastern Europe, is a Fresh Dill Cream Sauce, which pairs great with Varenyky, Meatless Holubtsy, Palushky, Kendle, Vegetarian Burgers, etc.
