Early Herbs – Suburban Garden

Gardening is my fun outdoor activity.  My garden is too small to be sustainable, but we do enjoy the homegrown veggies, herbs and berries.

Right now my perennial plants came back to life and are loving the sun and warm weather.

Autumn Blooms in My Garden

Autumn is in a full swing already, so my flower and vegetable garden changes with the season as well.  Lots of my vegetables are done, and many of the summer flowers stopped blooming, however there are many beautiful fall flowers still sparkling in my Fall Garden.

Goodbye Summer Flower Garden

It is hard to believe that summer is almost over.  You would not know that by the still very hot temperatures during the day, but the nights have cooled off quite a bit already.
The calendar may not be ready for the end of summer, but Mother Nature rules, and my garden is surely responding accordingly.
Unfortunately a lot of my vegetables and flowers are done for the season, so today I will share few pictures of the ones still thriving.

My July Beauties

July is hot…and sometimes with heavy rains which just run off and leave the soil dry again.
I water my garden couple of times per week just to keep my plants somewhat hydrated.
Today I will share some of the currently blooming flowers, which I just adore visiting every morning to check on the new ones opening up.
It makes my day the coffee does for others….:-)

My Autumn Flower Garden

As the Autumn days are getting shorter and shorter, my flower garden is getting skimpier and skimpier.  Actually as I am writing this post, some of the flowers displayed here already have fallen victim to the frost we had couple of days ago.  I covered up the Canna Lily, so I still can enjoy their gorgeous blooms for a while, and the Hardy Mums will last until a real deep frost, so hopefully that will not happen until mid December.

Below is my selection of Hardy Mums I planted this year, since last year’s plants were not hardy enough to survive the winter, with the exception of the Yellow and Buttercream Mums.
